AMC Hornet

I found this based on an advertisement for the show that ran during one of the original Fat Man shows. There are some good quips - metaphors that aren't up to early-Jack Webb standards, but still good. Overall, the show is uneven in quality. The casual racist "Ubangi" comment, and the tolerance of domestic violence, may be grating to modern listeners. On the plus side, the show is firmly grounded in an interesting period - the soldiers were returning after the war, and restarting their lives. Noir detective fiction lives. . . . Coming back to down at the heal offices, and taxi dance joints. The episodes start pretty well, and then move to more "talking about what's happening" by Ross Dolan instead of showing the action unfold. All in all though, it's too bad there aren't more than three episodes.

So far I've just heard the episode LAURA SHIELDS. It has such an eye-rollingly bad script and such dreadful acting, and even inept sound effects, that I was highly amused to the end. I can't understand how this many bad elements made it into the air. Very high recommendation for comedy value!

Never heard of this show its good I love these old shows
