Lonesome Gal 15 Eps

(4.5 stars; 3 reviews)

(15 Episodes) "Lonesome Gal" was broadcast across America on Monday nights, and with sponsors such as Bond Street Tobacco & Red Top Beer, one can fairly well guess to whom this program was geared with comments such as .... "Lonesome Gal" says to all you fella's out there: "Lonesome .... I'm a real lonesome gal. I can't stop feeling lonesome. Heaven knows when I shall .... * As the music fades, that sexy voice continues softly .... "Hi Babeeeeee .... this is your Lonesome Gal .... & I want you to sit back, kick off your shoes, & light up a pipe-full of Bond Street Tobacco, so you can relax with a gal that loves you .... " * Closing words were a little softer - more gentle .... "Well, Sweetie, I've always said that I like everybody, but that doesn't apply to the guy that invented the clock. I no sooner get snuggled up & cozy with you and then I have to leave. But thanks to flavourful Red Top Beer, I'll be back Monday for another visit with you. Honey, I don't know about you, but weekends always make my heart grow fonder. They prove to me that your lonesome gal loves you better than anybody in the whole wide world." * The music theme fades in & she sings: "If you have love to spare .. And lips to share .. Why don't you be a pal & share them .. with your lonesome gal? .... Good-night, baby." .... ***** Hilarious - a program before its time ... need I say more? ***** OTR * def gp ddh

A Real Hoot

A guy's version of the famous early TV show, Renzo Cesana'a "The Continental". This seems to predate "The Continental" though. Instead of a Latin Lover type cooing soothing love words to the tired housewife, in this one we get a good ol' American gal breathing heavy words of romance to the lonely guys out there, especially those who smoke Bond Street tobacco. I listen to OTR programs on my iPod in a regular rotation, and I like to follow this show up with "Moon RIver". It's quite a combination.

Ooh là là!

Love the stuff that borders on psychotronic, like this. And dear brickmush thanks for the referral to moon river, big boy, similar early corn sponsored by a mattress factory. I hope you're not a lonely guy, but at least you know where to go for treatment by a lonely nymph. And I do mean

lonesome...
