Awesome gem of a find!

(5 stars)

Though most of my OTR collection revolves around those from the U.S., I have a few from S. Africa and Australia but never had a chance to listen to this series. I've heard that it is good and I concur after listening to about a dozen episodes. Awesome listening, especially since it is based of a true story! Highly recommended

This program was based on the WWII POW diaries of Australian Army nurse Betty Jeffrey. (As was the movie Paradise Road.) There's more info on Jeffrey here: http://www.angellpro.com.au/Jeffrey.htm This series is good radio - taut writing and good acting.
