“I didn’t believe in ghosts, not until I became one.”

Schuyler Ramsey just wants to be like the other kids in school. Too bad she’s dead. She haunts a farm in windswept western Ireland, along with some of its previous inhabitants. When she partially materializes in front of her sister at breakfast, she is propelled on a quest to stop a fake TV psychic from visiting the farm and stirring up trouble. Along the way, she visits a famous pirate, helps a mermaid rescue a basking shark from fishermen, and encounters Nicniven, queen of the dark elphs. But Schuyler soon finds that the Haunted Planet television show is the least of her problems. As her world unravels, can she find the strength to save her sister from a monstrous evil?

Ghost story for ghosts

(4 stars)

Overall good read because of the different perspective of the main character. Integrates many aspects of paranormal world into a single story. The only complaint I have about the book is that there were alot of painful situations (like the ones which made the main characters ghosts) which could have been dealt with in a more complex manner and would have developed the characters a little deeper. It seems like some of the characters forgive and forget a little too easy without going through as much conflict as would be necessary. But this book is mostly about forgiving and forgetting, so maybe I miss the point by trying to complicate it, and ultimately the point is that forgiveness comes easily when we need it most (?)

This a nice story about a little girl ghost who has issues to deal with and decisions to make that give you a reason to pause and consider how you would feel or react. Nicely laid out and well read by the author. I enjoyed listening to it as a ...

An excellent audiobook production, well read and a tasteful amount of background effects that merge seamlessly with the narrative. I wouldn't recommend for young kids, mostly due to length. The content is more calm than most kids see in an average cartoon. As an adult the main character's introspection about ...

This is a really wonderful story. It made me laugh in some parts and cry at the end it was so heartfelt. It was a good balance of character development, a little bit of action, some joy and some sorrow. The narration is fabulous, I love the Irish accent makes ...

Fantastic Story

Took a chapter to get use to the male narrator. Other than that I loved this audio book, and will certainly buy the novel to read it again. The story is absolutely fantastic. I found myself laughing and even crying.

This is a nice listen. There were a few spots where my attention was waning, but eventually I was brought back into the story. The narration and sounds effects really added to the storytelling.

I really enjoyed this book and een though it's suitbale for kids, it's also a fun and interesting read for adults as well. I hope the author writes more novels in time.
