When overweight treadmill salesman Reginald Baskin finally meets a co-worker who doesn't make fun of him, it's just his own bad luck that tech guy Maurice turns out to be a two thousand-year-old vampire.

And when Maurice turns Reginald to save his life, it's just Reginald's own further bad luck that he wakes up to discover he's become the slowest, weakest, most out-of-shape vampire ever born, doomed to "heal" to his corpulent self for all of eternity.

As Reginald struggles with the downsides of being a fat vampire -- too slow to catch people to feed on, mocked by those he tries to glamour, assaulted by his intended prey and left for undead -- he discovers in himself rare powers that few vampires have… and just in time too, because the Vampire Council might just want his head for being an inferior representative of their race.

Fat Vampire is the story of an unlikely hero who, after having an imperfect eternity shoved into his grease-stained hands, must learn to turn the afterlife's lemons into tasty lemon danishes.

The first episode was boring up until the last few minutes, when Reginald met Maurice's friends. That's when things started to get interesting. By the end of episode 3, things are far more interesting and entertaining! Now I'm hooked and looking for other titles by the author!

I absolutely LOVED this book and went looking for the sequels. It's hilarious adventurous...and a lot of other things. You'll love, feel pity for, be disgusted by the title character. I cant wait til the others are released in audiobook form

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!

I don’t normally like vampire stuff, but I have to say that this one was enjoyable from the start and remained that way through to the end. There is good humour in there And for a change it doesn’t include all the mushy stuff that you get in just about every other bulk of this genre. Definitely one of the best books on this website.

Really good stuff. Good story and good audioquality. Has been quite some time since a vampirenovel really entertained me (aside from Dunkin the Vampireslayer). Finally a likable Vampire that is neither pretty and/or superpowerfull. This book is the first of a series (6 Parts)but also stands good on his own. ...

excellent

LOVED this book, excellent podcast, very well read and i was hooked 5 minutes into it. Nothing like all the serious lovey dovey or action vampire books. Its original amd funny all the way through. Wanted to listen to part to read by the same person, but cant find it.

was a great book really funny and quirky with relatable characters. it was a nice twist on the traditional "rules" of vampire stories. I'd love to read the rest of the series
