Unmasked, or the Science of Immorality. To Gentlemen

Mary Edwards Walker was a physician and surgeon who served in the Civil War. An abolitionist, prohibitionist, and cross-dressing leader of the women's dress reform movement, she published this lively sex manual in 1878. It is a curious blend of useful information and Victorian sexual mythology, at once puritanical and explicit. (Summary by Pamela Nagami) (3 hr 36 min)

Dr. Mary Edwards Walker Civil War surgeon … profound thoughts … valid still tod…

(5 stars)

A must listen for every male and female out there. Parents, moms and dads, should sit down with their kids and listen to it and then talk about it. Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, the only Civil War surgeon, wrote this in the 1800’s. It is thought-provoking, sound and true to the current time. I do need to say, though, that the original poster did a huge disservice to Dr. Mary Edwards Walker with the demeaningly tasteless clip cover.
