Reviews

Snoozer

(2.5 stars)

Don’t let the salacious subject matter lure you in. This book was monstrously boring with stilted writing and a confused plot. Even Goethe’s contemporaries gave it a thumbs down. Stick with The Sorrows of Young Werther. Also, the narrator didn’t help. Her voice was monotone, and it sounded like she had a frog in her throat half the time.

great book

I haven’t listened to this recording but this is a great book and well worth a read. Thank you for recording it.

Brilliant novel

Expect ambiguity, Goethe's hallmark. Not an action-adventure story, but a an interior tale of the soul.
