Europe In The Middle Ages

Read by Steven Seitel

(4.6 stars; 24 reviews)

Though sometimes called the "Dark Ages", the period of Middle Ages is far from dull or uninteresting. In this book I. L. Plunket masterfully shows the colorfullness and diversity of the Middle Ages. Heroes like Charlemagne, Richard the Lion Hearted, Joan of Arc and many others come to life in these pages. The rich religious life of the Middle Ages, controversies between different secular and religious authorities and general rising of nations in Europe are disclosed to the reader. - Summary by Kikisaulite (14 hr 18 min)

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The cross references with other parts of the world helped me keep track of world history even though we’re zoomed in to what’s going on in Europe. Narrator did a great job!
