It’s ok, some very interesting scientific investigations but sometimes a bit too technical for me. I do wonder if some of his devises are still used today or where they just imagination at work for the story?

Lots of cases in one place

The problem in my first review has been fixed, so I can give a well deserved 5 stars!

Chapter 23 (XIII) is Missing

(1 stars)

Chapter 23 (XXIII) is missing and Chapter 24 (XXIV) appears twice.

Unfortunately, one whole chapter (The Death House) is missing from the narration. I checked the text on Project Gutenberg because I was confused by the reading. The same chapter has been put under the two last titles. Annoying and confusing. The book itself is good, but a bit technical at times.

As most Reeve stories, entertainment & his science though great for the period , is still quite interesting & usually wrangles the concerned just in time. Thank you Arthur B.....
