Billy Jones & Ernie Hare

Billy Jones & Ernie Hare were vaudevillians who took advantage of the growing popularity of radio. The pair had become popular recording artists. They were the "Taystee Loafers" when they were sponsored by Taystee Bread, and the "Interwoven Pair" when sponsored by Interwoven Socks. Their act was always know as "The Happiness Boys." Jones passed away in 1940, Hare in 1939. The Tastee Bread recordings are from about 1936. These were recorded from transcriptions to reel tape in the 1970s and have recently been digitized as the files below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Happiness_Boys
