Euthyphro
Plato
Read by Andrew Miller
Awaiting his trial on charges of impiety and heresy, Socrates encounters Euthyphro, a self-proclaimed authority on matters of piety and the will of the gods. Socrates, desiring instruction in these matters, converses with Euthyphro, but as usual, the man who professes to know nothing fares better than the man who claims to be an expert. One of Plato’s well-known Socratic Dialogues, Euthyphro probes the nature of piety, and notably poses the so-called Euthyphro Dilemma: Do the gods love a thing because it is holy, or is a thing holy because it is loved by the gods? Interesting

The reading was well done and easily understood, having two voices made it very fluent. I don't think the debate was very conclusive though, further than showing that piety is impossible with multiple gods, unless, perhaps, piety is to obey the commands of the gods. I don't think that either Socrates or Euthyphro mentioned that possibility though.
quality control

Audacity noise reduction please—too much static; also imbalanced in acting—one overdid it, and the other underdid it. The guy that overdid it was lively but made Socrates sound pretentious. I don’t know if that was intentional...
Great

Excellent short socratic dialogue, really nice to have it read by two different people. The audio quality wasn't perfect but it was totally listenable and really well done.
Wonderful!

Great reading! Having two people read mad this much easier to follow and understand. I wish more of Platos dialogues were read this way.
Fabulous!

Excellent reading! Very easy to follow this very deep text. As a college student, readings like these make it easy to supplement my education.
Wonderful Reading, Poor Sound

The readers were excellent and made the dialogue come to life. However, the sound isn't super clear.

A dialogue presented as an actual dialogue! This is a vivid and believably presented conversation. What a gem!
