The Waste Land is a highly influential 433-line modernist poem by T. S. Eliot. It is perhaps the most famous and most written-about long poem of the 20th century, dealing with the decline of civilization and the impossibility of recovering meaning in life. Despite the alleged obscurity of the poem—its shifts between satire and prophecy, its abrupt and unannounced changes of speaker, location and time, its elegiac but intimidating summoning up of a vast and dissonant range of cultures and literatures—the poem has nonetheless become a familiar touchstone of modern literature. Among its famous phrases are “April is the cruelest month” (its first line); “I will show you fear in a handful of dust”; and “Shantih shantih shantih” (its last line). intelligent jerk
horrible absolutely horrible this is one of the greatest poems ever written and certainly warrants of read maybe even a listen however if you have ever heard the author TS Eliot read this poem then you will know why I say that this is horrible it isn't possible but if it was possible to ruin this poem The Reader would have done it please listen to TS Eliot and then you will know that this reader ruined it he is so far off from the way it's supposed to be that it almost doesn't mean the same thing

One of best subtle poems I have ever read with so many references to old literature. This is the reason why T.S. Eliot is one of my favorite poeta of all time.

Only a few parts stood out during the reading. Narration was fine, due to preference towards readings that are less overly dramatic or characterized.
