William Le Queux
Read by Tom Weiss
Hugh Gabriel has recently been repatriated from the war and has rejoined his old firm as an electrical engineer. On the way to visit his uncle one night, he is asked by a servant if he would be willing to meet with his wealthy master who is in some distress. Hugh becomes witness to, and directly involved with, a dastardly murder. Or has he? Who is this mysterious millionaire Oswald De Gex he has been asked to meet with? Is Doctor Moroni an honest physician or a diabolical monster? And what about the fair Gabrielle - but then, is there more than one Gabrielle? Le Queux, the Master of Mystery once again weaves an intricate plot which takes Hugh Gabriel to locations throughout Europe as he tries to unravel a scheme that he does not understand, nor why he is involved. Bravo from Borneo

I have read many WLQ books and this is certainly one of the best. As always, Tom Weiss does an excellent job in narrating the story. WLQ'S talent lies in creating and developing characters that are extremely engaging and then setting them in scenes that are described in such detail. I loved how this particular plot line had so many twists and turns. Excellent murder mystery novel!
Excellent mystery

Definitely a page turner! The summary covers the plot. You will hate the bad guy in this story. He is untouchable, or so he appears to be. The good guy is a true hero, dogging the trail of the mystery until the truth finally comes out. Tom W is another excellent LV reader. Thanks Tom!
another good adventure and read

the style of writing takes a little bit of getting used to but once you do it's actually pretty good. you can miss a couple of minutes here and there and then pick it up later on and it's no problem. this is a great book to listen to when your semi-occupied doing other activities. the book is very enjoyable
Great mystery story

This book read by Tom Weiss, is fun to listen to. Mr. Weiss is a great reader with a pleasant voice, good pronunciation and the right amount of inflection. The story is complicated and kept my interest.
