The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark is a tragedy by William Shakespeare. Set in the Kingdom of Denmark, the play dramatizes the revenge Prince Hamlet exacts on his uncle Claudius for murdering King Hamlet, Claudius's brother and Prince Hamlet's father, and then succeeding to the throne and taking as his wife Gertrude, the old king's widow and Prince Hamlet's mother. The play vividly portrays both true and feigned madness – from overwhelming grief to seething rage – and explores themes of treachery, revenge, incest, and moral corruption. (Summary by Wikipedia)

Go Arielle!

(5 stars)

Arielle Lipshaw (Hamlet) absolutely masters one of Shakespeare's most complex roles and performs it with passion and subtlety. She is supported by Elizabeth Klett's amazing performance of Claudius, Amy Gramour's brilliant Gertrude and Miss Avarice's tragic Ophelia. The best version of Hamlet I've ever heard! I'd give it more stars if I could!

hamlet version 3

(4 stars)

Excellent overall. Only complaint... voice of hamlet is female and I had to constantly remind myself that Hamlet was speaking. To someone unfamiliar with the play, it would have been a little confusing perhaps.

different voices

(2 stars)

I appreciated the use of different voices, however, listening while reading will prove usefull as often female voices are used for male characters. This can be confusing.
