Random Reminiscences of Men and Events

Read by William Tomcho

(4.1 stars; 51 reviews)

A good book by the oil revolutionist of the 20th century. As they say "Men should listen to experience" and this book is all about the experience of the second highest taxpayer of the US during the 20's. Though it is not in the book, this is a small poem he wrote:

I was early taught to work as well as play,
My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.

A New Perspective on JD Rockefeller

(5 stars)

anytime in the past I've heard someone talk about trying to Rockefeller, he's always been described as someone who only thought of money of someone who might be rather selfish and as unkind and uncaring this volume depicts a much more human View. certainly comma since it's an autobiography, it's his View. but I think we would all do well to forget some of the things we've talked been taught no history glasses and read the history as it was written buy those who actually lived it.

A true internationally hero

(5 stars)

There are lots or Raycyst who do not like Rockefeller because he gobbled up all the small businesses and created one centrally managed leviathan that was responsible for the nations energy. What people do not realize is those small companies were Raycst. They were run by small people who did not think properly. What did Rockefeller do with all his wealth and power. He gave it away to schools and nongovernmental organizations, which in turn indoctrinated the youth on the principles of anti-raycysm and obedience to a centrally managed bureaucracy. He is the father of white guilt and urban planning and nonbinary gendered bathrooms. The global elite can not spread the truth when the little people still has power and agency. The little guy must be crushed. It is the Rockefeller way. All hail Rockefeller and give fealty to the centrally managed new world order that is here to erase all Raycysm and injustice and climate inequality in the universe.

great book for business & heart

it's so rare to hear someone talk about helping others through good business. unfortunately most often people are will to either give alot (which ends up be a great percentage of there money, but a small amount), or give a small portion of their income for tax purposes (which although contributions the greatest portion of money to the cause, is not done for the best reasons); this has been my experience anyway. with that said and again, it was rare, refreshing, and challenging to hear someone talk about business and charity. also, I always enjoy rearing the personal thoughts of great people on any subject.

The other side of the story

(5 stars)

Through this book we get a chance to hear John D Rockefeller's side of some of the controversies that surrounded him. Very lucidly written. Loved your reading, Mr. Tomcho!

Good reader but the book is boring
