He is always so good.

And Carolin somehow enriches every story by being serious but friendly at the same time. But her accent keeps her a bit strange and unfamiliar. So she is perfect for every story. Including some I think I’d find too boring if I was reading it myself. But it’s not boring in her company.

Very sweet and well done

Sometimes when authors describe famous landmarks/places, it can seem dry and disconnected from the rest of the story. This is NOT one of those cases. I thoroughly enjoyed the blending of romance, travel, art, some light philosophy, and then more romance. Really enjoyed & highly recommended by me.

This is an adorable and lovely book the characters are interesting and at the end there was a twist that I didn’t quite see coming but made the story better.

Amazing story... terrible reader!

(0.5 stars)

Five stars for the book itself -- zero stars for this reader. COMPLETELY the wrong voice for this or any other Richard Harding Davis novel!

(5 stars)

A charming story of two loves. One is imagined, the other is unexpected but real. I always enjoy this lovely reader.

One of my favorite readers

Comic Romance Travelogue

(4 stars)

A sweet and lighthearted little novel. Reader has charmingly accented English, but still easily understood.
