Terrific Story

(5 stars)

This is a superb storyline, fraught with suspense and excitement. It becomes intensely personal as it rides the cusp of WW1 and a Man's very believable struggle with his morality, patriotism, and Family loyalty. We see how envy, greed, and a competitive ego (within a Tall, Dark, Handsome, lovable rogue) coupled with intellectual challenges ultimately lure Anthony Trent into a brilliant career as the "Master Thief"

A treat!

I want to thank Anna Simon for her most remarkable rendition of this great book. it's the best of all worlds... Great Book and an incredible actor (Anna Simon) Narrators, such as Ms. Simon, breath life into the pages "read" (better than reading is acting the book, playing each character no one does it better)

Every chapter had me on the edge of my seat. This book is over 100 years old but feels modern. I would definitely listen again!
