Conan the Barbarian finds himself lusting after and fighting alongside the toughest woman alive, Valeria The Red, a beautiful pirate who out pirates the best of them in her strength and ferocity. This is one of the strangest stories ever written by Robert E. Howard — the tale of a barbarian adventurer, a woman pirate, and a weird enclosed and long dead city now inhabited by the most peculiar race of men ever spawned. Red Nails

(5 stars)

A rip-roaring, over the top adventure starring everyone's favourite barbarian. This story has more adjectives per sentence than... well, I don't know what. Fans of flashing blades and the heaving of various firm-but-supple body parts are in for a treat. The reader, Phil Chenevert, has a sort of quizzical tone that's perfect for this campy tale -- I've a feeling he has a great sense of humour. Thanks, Phil, for making my commute around the M60 at least bearable! TheBookworm, Manchester, UK.

Great reading

(5 stars)

Great reading of my favourite of all tales of sword and sorcery. Phil's soothing narration is perfect for breathing life into the days of lomg ago when Conan journeyed ancient lands of deep secrets and limb severing action.

Great story, good reader except he has a weird way of pronouncing the word "Iron" but the rest is fantastic.
