Prince or Chauffeur? A Story of Newport

Gelesen von Jim Locke

Newport, of course, means aristocratic families and naval adventures. In this tale, we wonder if the heiress will actually marry the Russian prince, who is of questionable character, or the chauffeur, who would certainly be beneath her station, but maybe there's more to the stories of each of our wooers. No Sparkle

(1,5 Sterne)

I expected a light, effervescent story; something like the black and white 1930s romantic comedies featuring snappy dialog, slinky dresses and spectacular architecture. None of the above are available. It's as flat as the leftover champagne on New Years Day.

Cute Romance

(5 Sterne)

The narrator did a good job and the plot was fun. I enjoy light-hearted adventure/spy books, and this fit the bill. This is great to listen to while crafting or cleaning the house.
