Eve Edgarton is not who she seems she is. A short encounter with Mr. Barton show that first impressions are not always right or indicative of one's seemingly obvious preference or one's proclivity. (Summary by Kehinde) (3 hr 43 min)

A quirky, but sweet story

(4 Sterne)

Although the story is a bit odd, I think many of us know or knew what it is like to be an Eve Edgarton, even if not the same extreme. To not be the popular, sought after girl, but to know that deep down we were a rose if only someone would care enough to help us bloom. Despite its quirks, I liked the story, though the ending was a bit abrupt. The reader has a sweet pleasant voice; perfect for Miss Abbot's heroines. She did mispronounce quite a few words, but her reading was otherwise very good, so that I didn't find it a great distraction.

Well read , but a very odd story

Very strangely written. It made me wonder if the author was on drugs ! Rather disjointed with unrealistic characters & not particularly plausible situations.

Another Delight

This is just a quirky little romance, read by one of my favorite LibriVox Volunteers. Just long enough to fill an afternoon or an evening.

Pass

Some of the things that were said made me wonder if they were high or something. It tainted the story.

Wisdom delightfully told.

Instructive story. Just right in terms of common sense. Superb reader as always!

I never thought I would like it so much
