The King James Version is an English translation of the Christian Bible begun in 1604 and first published in 1611 by the Church of England. In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from the Textus Receptus (Received Text) series of the Greek texts. The Old Testament was translated from the Masoretic Hebrew text, while the Apocrypha [not included in this recording] was translated from the Greek Septuagint (LXX). Always loved genesis. ... The narrator did a wonderful job....it sad that there's so many ignorant people out there that just don't appreciate thing's like this, even after listening to this .

I greatly appreciate this recording and have listened many times. Mr. Slider has given a great gift in reading these together. It must have been very time consuming but such a blessing to others. Very well read and has a peaceful and pleasant affect. Thank you!

I breezed through Mr. Slider's recordings. Had some of the later readers in Numbers been there for Genesis, I may not have had the will to press on thru the dense descriptions of the Tabernacle and so forth. Highly recommended and wish he read everything! A fast and clear voice that has an appropriate mix of dispassion and reverence, if that makes any sense.

Good recording and interesting books. Leviticus was quite dry to listen to but good to hear. This was my first time listening to many of these chapters of the Bible. It was good to get an idea of the timeline and efforts by God in the Old Testament to establish a people that honored and listened to God.

Greatly enjoy this reading, soothing voice. I often listen at night to relax and sleep because it's very soothing. Thank you for your work and for reading a long group together, the short ones don't work at night which is what I enjoy. God bless to you ! P.S. Let's pray for the naysayer:)
