ugg puddle not poodle

I couldn't get the chapter called lessons. because the reader of this chapter kept calling the cat poodle when the cats named Ash puddle. at first I gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking that she could not pronounce the word puddle , but then she said it perfectly fine in the sentence right after. yet she kept calling the poor cat poodle.

The book is great, one of Alcott’s best. The first reader is the best by far.tm
