I have listened twice to this because I wanted to understand Charlotte's feelings and her personality. so sad that their father had to witness the death of all his children. Jackie from Kent UK

Some readers are better than others but overall this is an excellent biography. Bruce Pirie does an exceptional job of reading his chapters.

The French, etc is lovely to listen to. I wish I understood, but that is my own failing. Well written and well read!
