And one of the best of Roger Melin's. In this sad and insane 21st century, it's hard to imagine that the arts of the English speaking world held to its now-bygone morals and ideals as staunchly as David Carrigan. Yet here is the true fascination for modern readers, and a welcome antidote for "fake news," among other ills.
wow! just wow!

An author new to me who can so perfectly evoke a landscape, a person, an emotion, who can construct a complicated story line effortlessly. Great writing and wonderful reader. Highly recommend.
Another great book

Summary pretty much says it all. There is mystery, action, and a bit of romance weaved in. The Flaming Forest is an excellent story. Excellent reader as well.

This is a good tale of the great North and the great hearted men snd women who peopled it the pioneer days. A mountie sets off after a resurrected fugitive from the law. He gets shot, spends a long time confused, finally sort of gets his man, but everything comes out well in the end.

I would have never heard of this author if not for Librivox. Many of his stories have similar themes. This one was quite good and as always Roger Melin is the perfect narrator for all of Curwoods stories. Recommended!
early days pulp fiction - recommended

Enjoyed the plot - long, twists & surprises, end wrap up and interesting plot. Nicely narrated by Roger Melin, recommended. Other reviewer is correct- it's an early days pulp fiction.
