Rainbow Valley, the seventh book in the Anne of Green Gables series explores the world of Anne & Gilbert’s six children along with the exploits of the Merediths, the children of the town’s new minister. With no mother and an absent-minded father, the Meredith children are not being properly brought up. This leads to their many adventures causing the ladies of the town to gossip, risking their father's job. The narrator is terrible but the story is wonderful! I wish Karen Savage had narrated this one. She is fantastic.
Great story

this is a wonderful playful story! the reader is very depressing but very clear to understand.

Though I don't like it as much as the previous books Rainbow Valley is still a fun book. I guess I didn't find the parts that were supposed to be humorous as funny as I did in the other books and events seemed more random. I thought Robin Cotter did quite a good job. Of course it's difficult to top Karen Savage so if you listened to her all the previous books it isn't the same. However, after a few chapters I got used to the change and thought she did a good job, plus I for one really appreciate having just one reader for a book.

It was a fun story of children growing up in the Rainbow Valley. The author did a nice job of bringing us through the trials and tribulations of these people. I only disliked just a few technical errors. One of which was the little girl who legs were blue from the cold but yet she ran through slushie mud puddles and snow playing with the other children is if this was not a problem. Physiologically, frostbite tends to occur in those situations; a person can't just get used to it.

I am a fan of L.M. Montgomery; and this book, though different from the previous Anne Books, still was worth the read. The narrator, Robin Cotter, did an excellent job of vocally maintaining the personalities of such a large cast of characters. Her diction was flawless, though there were some mispronounced words. Ms. Cotter must be kind and very feminine, for her most expressive moments were manifest when interpreting female characters with such attributes listed above.

this book is not as great as previous ones about Anne. I guess early books are born and follow ups made. The narrator has unusual pausing between words. One gets used to it, but I found that speeding up playback a lot did help. Thankyou Robin for the time you put into this recording.

I love all the Anne books and this one is no different. The reader is fine, though not as good as Karen Savage (I hope she is getting paid to read somewhere). You can change the playback speed and that will help a great deal. Enjoy!

Beautiful story. I enjoyed the change in style of the narrator, as her style allows more room for personal interpretation and imagination. When all is said & done, variety is the spice of life. Perhaps I'm just a slightly different member of the clan of Joseph.
