Yeah really liked it. Good short story. Typical Conrad.

I found this short story and its narration very well done. the encounter between the secret sharer and the unexperienced captain serves as a catalyst for the captain's personal growth. he confronts ideas of right and wrong and the complexity of the world, resulting in a great increase in personal confidence. the narrator gives a slight reminiscence of William Shatner or rod serling, giving the tale sort of a twilight zone or star trek feel of strange discovery - very suitable for this particular and pecular tale.

Didn't get this story

I didn't really get this story. A guy escaping from a crime is hidden by a new captain on a ship. The captain helps him escape, but it all happens so fast, and was left feeling like "Huh? What just happened?" I really didn't get the point of the story. Gregg is a good reader; his recording quality is always top-notch, but the story was really lacking.

Good story

Conrad's works are good, and this story was intriguing to listen to, specifically to find out the end.

Ok plot and characters, however the highlight was Greg Marguerite (RIP) who did a fine narration. LibriVox audiobook

could their rapport suggest they were related?!
