The Lives of the Queens of England Volume 2
Gelesen von Ann Boulais
Agnes Strickland
The Lives of the Queens of England is a multi-volumed work attributed to Agnes Strickland, though it was mostly researched and written by her sister Elizabeth. These volumes give biographies of the queens of England from the Norman Conquest in 1066. Although by today's standards, it is not seen as a very scholarly work, the Stricklands used many sources that had not been used before.
Volume 2 includes the biographies of Berengaria of Navarre, Isabella of Angouleme, Eleanor of Provence, Eleanora of Castille, Margarite of France, Isabella of France, Philippa of Hainault, and Anne of Bohemia.

unless you are familiar with Britain and the continent this would be much easier to follow if you have a map to help understand where events took place. And perhaps a chart to follow the succession of nobility thru time. The frequent use of the same name can get confusing. I have stopped trying to keep track of all that and just listen. things begin sinking in with time. perhaps if I were to listen again from the beginning it will be easier to follow next time. lots of information presented.
