Totally enjoyed the plot once I got the names of characters . Twins ,stepmothers, cops . boy friends, suspicions on all sides and many twists in the plot development. Thank you to a terrific reader. And thank you LibriVox for giving me the experiences of reading with my ears!

Just okay

I never found myself connecting with any of the characters in this novel. Lots of twists and turns and an okay mystery, but it would have been much better with deeper character development; unfortunately they all felt like cardboard characters to me.

Great story

Very good mystery very well read by J.M. Smallheer, and very worth listening to. I very rarely give a five star rating, but this was a 5 star mystery and reading for me. Enjoy!

Well read

Well read story, full of twists and turns. The characters aren't the most well developed, but it scratches the mystery itch.

What a great little mystery! Filled with twists and turns. Reminds me a bit of Agatha. Very well read.

Meh

(4 Sterne)

Great reader. The voices she does are great, elevating the audiobook to audio theater. The story was convoluted. Its as if the author is trying to confuse the reader with so many characters. She suceeded in my case. Perhaps more mystery, less confusion would have been more satisfying. 5+ stars for reader. 3 stars for story.

Another excellent mystery story

The summary covers the plot. A prisoner dies, and bonds go missing. The dead man stands accused, but is he really the guilty person? And who killed him? Excellent reading too; I enjoyed this story very much.

Complex

(4,5 Sterne)

This clever intrigue kept me listening to the very end. The final revelatory chapter of the complicated plot might have been easier to follow in print. Nonetheless I recommend this book. Excellent reader!
