This a classic for this genre, including (spoiler alert) the obligatory hero marring the 16 year old beautiful damsel in distress at the end.

Compact and fun adventure


this is one of the most enjoyable Golden-age science fiction stories in my opinion. it's not particularly prescient and it is a product of era, so ymmv
