Oscar Wilde
Read by LibriVox Volunteers
In Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, the lives of two young men, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff, intertwine in a web of mistaken identities and romantic entanglements. Set against the backdrop of Victorian England, this comedic play explores the absurdities of social conventions and the pursuit of love.
As Jack and Algernon navigate their double lives, they encounter a cast of memorable characters, including the formidable Lady Bracknell and the charming Gwendolen Fairfax. Through witty dialogue and sharp satire, Wilde critiques the superficiality of society while delivering a humorous take on the complexities of truth and deception.
With its clever wordplay and enduring themes, The Importance of Being Earnest remains a standout work in the realm of comedic literature, inviting listeners to reflect on the nature of identity and the often ridiculous lengths people go to in the name of love.

Really funny!
The Nameless One
This was a really funny book and the voices were great. They did, however, stutter and mess up on their reading quite a bit. Other than that, it was a great book and with great voices! :)
