maggie Wow! Karen Savage truly made this classic come alive. My children and I loved it! Also, it is refreshing that she reads at a lively speed. First rate!

Fantastic. A classic that I cannot speak more highly of. Its a sweet and happy story that takes some time to warm up. but that time is as necessary as a seed taking the time to push up a bud for a flower to bloom.
Love it!

I listened to this while I was at work, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I used to watch the movie when I was younger so I had the pleasure of the movie play in my head while listening to it. I enjoyed the different accents the person reading it did and felt her voice was very appreciate for how the book should feel. Definitely recommend!!

I have listened to many of the books Karen Savage has read, and she continues to amaze me! I am astounded that she can read with such emotion and movement. I sure couldn’t! She is one of my favorite LibriVox readers of all time!

I love this book. Truly. I love reading the written version and I love listening to this version. I laugh and I cry and I smile and I want to jump for joy every time. I couldn't recommend it more.

Fantastic book. Been a long time since the last reading. Made even better by the reading of Karen Savage. Karen could read the phone book and I'd be inclined to listen. Listen to all of her books and want for more.

Considering I tend to listen to Sci-fi or Dystopian, or something of the like, I thought I'd try something a little different as was getting a bit bored. so glad I did. The story and reading was magical, as if always intended to compliment each other. it was wonderful. Honestly can't express how much I enjoyed it.
A LibriVox Listener
I thought I knew the story, however, on listening, I realised that I had missed so much! This was such an enjoyable story and remarkably uplifting, thanks again to the reader, Ms Savage, she managed to cope with the axcent twists...Sad to come to the end, but could hardly put it down..! thank you, again, Librevox and Ms Savage.
