In Ester Ried's Namesake, Esther Ried Randall grapples with the weight of her name and the expectations that come with it. As she navigates the complexities of her faith, she finds herself questioning whether her religious duties are a true reflection of her beliefs or merely a chore imposed by her upbringing.

This fifth and final installment in the Ester Ried series, penned by Isabella M. Alden under the pseudonym Pansy, explores themes of identity, faith, and the struggle to reconcile personal beliefs with familial expectations. Set against the backdrop of early 20th-century America, Esther's journey is both a personal and spiritual quest.

As she seeks to understand the lessons of faith that her namesake embodied, readers will find themselves drawn into a narrative that challenges the boundaries of tradition and personal conviction. Will Esther discover her own path to faith, or will she remain confined by the legacy of her name?

Reviews

so inspirational

(5 stars)

All of Pansy's books strengthen me in my walk with the Lord! I, also, love the way Tricia G. narrates!

A discussion of marriage reasons

(5 stars)

Pansy's books often illuminate a particular aspect of Christian ethics, which are just as relevant today as they were then. Amongst the life lessons in this book is the choice to withdraw from a relationship where two cannot agree on Christian principles.

A Happy Ending

(5 stars)

A perfect ending to the book and series. Ester finds her place in the will of God and is greatly blessed.

What a series!

(5 stars)

I read the entire series and loved it. This book is not just for young girls (For whom it was intended.) I am a 67 year old man and enjoyed each book in this series. I highly recommend that all Christian's read and learn a little of what seems lacking in today's world. Also, the narrator is excellent!

(4 stars)

interesting that in every book in this series someone dies. why? other than that I liked Esther Randall's strong character Alot!

the best attempt to describe conversion that I've read

sweet

(3 stars)

The book starts out well, with characters reasonably well rounded. By the end, new characters, even tho pivotal, are rather flat.

God has His Way

I wish the author would show God's people in a more humble and giving light. and people like Sarah needs to have a heart's change to show God does change people...
