"Atlantis: The Antediluvian World is a book published during 1882 by Minnesota populist politician Ignatius L. Donnelly, who was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania during 1831. Donnelly considered Plato's account of Atlantis as largely factual and attempted to establish that all known ancient civilizations were descended from this supposed lost land. Many of its theories are the source of many modern-day concepts we have about Atlantis, like the civilization and technology beyond its time, the origins of all present races and civilizations, a civil war between good and evil, etc." (Summary by Wikipedia) (16 hr 54 min)

Reviews

Very Interesting

This book is filled with very interesting thoughts about Atlantis and is very entertaining. The readers did a good job although there are a few that could have done better.

fair enough

amending my previous review, it gets pretty good toward the middle. I want Mike Harris to narrate my life at my wake.

Excellent Reading. I LOVED the Book. Well Done Reading also.

You guys thought the first reader was bad? The woman after him speaks like a rejected news anchor. every sentence has the same downward inflection and zero contextual tonality. She also mispronounces so many words. I just cannot focus on the text.

Well...

...it offers an interesting window into the learning and understanding of the late 1800s.

generator should not use a monotone voice.

one of the most important books and ever read

this explanation of history makes so much more sense than the official one it never made sense to me that America and Egypt both had pyramids if there was no contact it never made sense that all cultures have a great flood myth if it never happened and they don't have a common origin this book explains everything

enjoyed it, great readin

i love guy's voice who goes all deep as Yahweh, and unfolds it like an epic bard lol. and the other guy who does all the assorted rather high-pitch uber-nerd voices when academics are quoted, like the prof had a stick up him & a stuffy nose when he wrote his geologic paper, i was like HA YES!
