I think I have fallen in love with Ishmael Wang, or maybe its Nathan Lowell's voice, but really its a good tale well told and read by a wonderful voice. Thank you Mr. Lowell. Please write lots more. I am almost done with Owner Share and I'm starting to feel ...

I don't think that I have yet written a review here, though I've listened to 4 or more books a week. I just had to compliment this story. I loved it. It was a nice refreshing change from the typical war or dystopian sci-fi books. I can't wait to continue listening to these books. My only complaint is the transition music is far to loud. I like to listen to the story kinda loud, 75 or so dB. Then when the music kicks in it is way way to loud.

New Life Aboard the Louis

Fun listen. The trading aspects and ship life are very detailed and intelligently portraited. Ishmael is a natural leader and has a view of life we could all use. The reader is very good and has a warm voice with tons of emotion. Very good at bringing moments of the book to life and giving peoples their individuality through slight changes in speech pattern. Which is difficult to do from one set of vocals. Overall, very good.

I think everyone else has said everything there is to say. However, I still wanted to let you know I enjoyed it. The tip button was easy to find, and I am starting on Half Share now. Also, there is something special about an audiobook read by its author. That ...

Coming of age story. Intriguing, well done story with a Yankee clipper vibe set in colonized outer space... This is not a blood and guts, hack them up themed mystery thriller. It might not fit your bill but I liked it. It is a story that my wife would like. Read by the author with feeling and no over the top voices. Happily moving on to the next story.

Interesting story, well read

Not the normal kind of thing I would listen to, but decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. The story ticks along and the narrator, who is also the author, does a good job with his delivery. I am going to now download the second part of the story, which pretty much says it all. I am not saying it is a work of art, but it is certainly one of the better books that I have listened to on this platform.

My third time listening to this wonderful book and I certainly plan to continue treating myself as I listen once again to the entire series. It's the combination of an intelligently crafted work that gives more than a nod to the bygone seafaring days where trade took place between continents and the truly memorising voice of the author as he expertly narrates this book. Marvellous...elegant and...oh well...just do yourself a favour and listen to the book.
