Just like my first Nancy Drew stories

I loved those Nancy Drew books as a child and this story reminded me of those sweet and simple mysteries. I also like children's books as a nice way to relieve the stress of adulthood. So kick back and let your inner child out for this nice little mystery. Also, this is narrated by J.M. Smallheer who is one of my favorite narrators. Thank you J.M. for a superb job!

Slow Start but Worth It
The Momtionary
If you were going to read only one historical novel all year, this would be a contender. Easy enough for an adult to guess the plot, but a fun way for a kid or young teen to learn a little about east coast pirates, the underground railroad, and what friendship can be. There is one bit about an unsavory practice of some pirate captains when burying their treasure, which is brief, but some parents should discuss it with their child or may choose to pass over this book until the child is older. It's worth coming back to later.
Cute book

Light listening, in one sitting, but still a good book. Two young girls stumble across a hidden cave with a secret box inside. What does the box lead to? Treasure? And what is the secret of Ms. Camillus? If you are in the mood for something sweet and simple, this is it.

This is a mystery for a nice young girl that enjoys simple pleasures. That being said, I am almost 70 and not "old" enough for much of what is considered "adult" fiction and I enjoyed it as a change of pace while working on a project. The reader does a good job.

A heart-warming story and an intriguing mystery. Towards the end I expected to learn more details concerning the mystery, but they were only hinted at. The reader has a pleasant and clear voice which I enjoy listening to very much. Thank you for your time and efforts.
