"Fort Laramie" is a historically accurate CBS Sustaining Western Drama created in 1955 by Producer/Director Norman MacDonnell. MacDonnell, known for his work on the western-drama "Gunsmoke," insisted on historical integrity in all episodes. The lead character, Captain Lee Quince, was portrayed by the talented Canadian actor Raymond Burr, famous for his roles in "Perry Mason" and "Ironside."

Supporting characters included Vic Perrin as Sgt. Goers and Jack Moyles as Maj. Daggett. The original music for the series was composed and conducted by Amerigo Moreno, while the program was narrated by Dan Cubberly.
