The Brighter Day aired on NBC from October 11, 1948, to July 8, 1949, and then on CBS from July 11, 1949, to December 30, 1955. The show continued on CBS until June 29, 1956. It was broadcast at various times, including 10:45 a.m. ET and 2:45 p.m.

The series featured a talented cast, including Rev. Richard Dennis played by Bill Smith, Liz Dennis portrayed by Margaret Draper and Grace Matthews, and Althea Dennis by Jay Meredith. Other characters included Barabara (Bobby) Dennis, played by Lorna Lynn, Grayling Dennis by Billy Redfield, and Patsy Dennis by Pat Hosley. The announcers for the show were Ron Rawson, Bill Rogers, and Len Sterling.

Brighter Day, the (48-10-11) and 48-10-11 Episode 001 the First Episode and 48-12-16 Papa Is Offered a Church are all the same episode. I believe that 48-12-16 is the right date. Also, 48-10-11 is not the date of the first episode of the series.
