Second only to Bernard Cribbins!!

This ticks all the boxes for me. I don't think doing voices is strictly necessary, but in Pooh stories it massively helps! I also personally don't like when readers say "Pooh sang a song that went like this" and then just read the words, but this person has come up with some lovely little tunes! The performance is also top notch. Very expressive without being distracting. Also they pronounce "ther" correctly which is a must for me. It shows a real understanding of how Pooh should be read aloud and I can't praise this enough. I mentioned Cribbins above and he is still my favourite, but he's also the one I grew up with so I'm biased.

Excellent work!

We’ve listened time and again to this excellent reading of Pooh stories by Matthew Soanes. My 8 year old son even has some passages memorized. Thank you for this gem, Matthew!

Piglet was a bit squeaky sand loud but every other voice was great and the narration was wonderful. Great audio!

extraordinary reading

"I liked the book. I liked Piglet and Owl's voice, and Roo's excited voice." my five year old child. Pooh's stories are winners of course, but this reading brings it to life in an amazing way. Thank you!

Wonderful
